Registration of Interest Details
Please read all details carefully before submitting your registration of interest.
Players may ONLY register for one competition Hawks Junior Domestic Competition OR Hawks Development League competition.
Hawks Junior domestic competition is run in partnership with 7 affiliated clubs they are – Subiaco Basketball, City Beach Basketball, Claremont/Cottesloe, Raiders, Scarborough Sharks, Woodlands Warriors and Lakers.
Important Rules:
A player can only register with ONE club listed above.
A player can only play with ONE team within that club.
Players must meet Age group cut off requirements (see details below).
If a player has played WABL last year, our registrar must be informed before Play HQ registration.
If your preferred team does not proceed and you do not wish to be place in another team, do not proceed to register on Play HQ. Instead, please contact our registrar.
Other Info:
The playing season runs from March to September.
Games are played on Friday night for U10MB girls, U10 girls, U14 girls, U16 girls, U18 girls at the Bendat Basketball Centre in Floreat and Lords Recreation Centre in Subiaco.
Games are played on Saturday’s (7.30am thru to late evening) for U10MB boys, U10 boys, U12 boys, U14 boys, U16 boys, U18 boys and U12 girls at the Bendat Basketball Centre in Floreat and Lords Recreation Centre in Subiaco.
Game timings change from week to week, please check fixtures. Fixtures are on Play HQ website or ‘My Hoops’ APP.
There is no set game time periods for specific age groups, games for all age groups may be scheduled at any time during the competition.
All games are two halves each of twenty minutes with the clock running.
All parents are expected to help score throughout the season. Your team manager should provide a scoring roster.
All our teams are required to have a minimum of 8 players.
Every team MUST have a coach and a team manager.
We do not provide coaches. Please arrange a coach through parents, older siblings, friends or players.
Team managers and coaches must register via Play HQ to receive our communications. The Play HQ weblink will be provided by the registrar.
We provide each player jersey for the season which must be returned in good condition at season’s end. Our player shorts can be purchased on our website SHOP or through Play HQ during registration.
Players must bring their own basketball for training. Balls are not provided.
Player mouth guards are highly recommended on game day.
Please familiarise yourself with all competition rules on our Rules webpage including the ‘Perry Lakes Junior Competition By-Laws‘. Note Breaches of certain By-Laws incur fines, these fines will be passed on to teams.

Age groups (general guide):-
U8 (Tuesday session, mixed gender, hoop height 8-foot, School Year 2)
U10 mini ball (Friday or Saturday game, hoop height 8-foot, School Year 3)
U10 (Friday or Saturday game, hoop height 10-foot, School Year 4)
U12 (Friday or Saturday game, hoop height 10-foot, School Year 5) & so on.

Fees

Covers insurance, team fee, court hire, equipment, uniforms, medals/trophies. |
We set fees prior to the season based on last season’s spend per player across all costs. Sorry, we are unable to provide discounts to teams who source their own training courts.
Refunds
The $41.75 BWA and $5.50 BA fee is non-refundable.
In line with Perry Lakes Hawks, Subiaco Basketball Club will refund the club fee as follows:
Any player that registers and withdraws prior to the end of Week 5 will be entitled to a refund of the Subiaco Basketball Club membership fee. We will refund fees less:
10% for withdrawals prior to the season commencing
30% for withdrawal during the grading process
50% for withdrawal before the end of week 5
Any player requiring a refund must send an email to the Subiaco Accounts stating: Name, team and reason for refund.
Refunds during the season (once competition has commenced) will only be considered under the following circumstances : season ending injury/illness or transfers interstate or overseas. This will be done upon consultation with the Club President. Once the refund is approved we will seek banking details to allow a funds transfer for the refund.
Players that are refunded will not be able to re-register for the same season that they were refunded for.

If you have registered with Subiaco Basketball Club but wish to transfer to another club please email us BEFORE registering with the other club to organise a fee transfer and avoid extra costs.

I/we acknowledge that the PLAYING of, and TRAINING for basketball as well as PARTICIPATION in other associated activities conducted by Subiaco Basketball Club Inc is undertaken by me/us or my/our children at my/our own risk. I/we understand that no liability for personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects which may be incurred or suffered by me/them/us as a consequence of such participation is accepted by Subiaco Basketball Club Inc.
