2026 Season Dates

Below are the key dates for the 2026 Junior Domestic Competition (dates might be subject change).

Grading Fixtures Released

  • 13th of March 2026

PLHBA will release and publish the first four weeks of fixtures which will act as the grading rounds for all divisions.

 Season/Grading Commences

  • 20th of March 2026
  • 21st of March 2026

Grading rounds will commence for all divisions.

If a division is not being graded due to team numbers, their grading games will not impact the regular season’s ladder.

1st Mid-Season Break

  • 3rd of April 2026 to the 25th of April 2026

The first mid-season break is due to the April school holidays and ANZAC Day.

The last games before the break will be played on 27th and 28th of March 2026.

Season/Grading Recommences

  • 1st of May 2026
  • 2nd of May 2026

The season recommences the week following the ANZAC Day public holiday.

Regular Season Fixtures Released

  • 12th of May 2026

PLHBA will release and publish the remaining fixtures for the full 2026 season.

2nd Mid-Season Break

  • 10th of July 2026 to the 18th of July 2026

The second mid-season break is due to July school holidays.

The last games before the break will be played on 3rd and 4th of July 2026.

Season Recommences

  • 24th of July 2026
  • 25th of July 2026

The season will recommence the week following the school holidays.

Regular Season Concludes

  • 28th of August 2026
  • 29th of August 2026

The regular season will conclude for all divisions.

Finals Commence

  • 4th of September 2026
  • 5th of September 2026

The finals for U14’s, U16’s and U18’s  will run over two weekends and conclude on the 11th and 12th of September 2026.

Season Overview

  • Grading Rounds – 4
  • Regular Rounds – 14
  • Total Rounds – 18
  • Finals – 2
  • Total Rounds Including Finals – 20

The season will commence on the 20th / 21st of March with the Grand Finals on the 11th / 12th of September 2026.

Court Allocations

The 2026 Junior Domestic Competition will be fixtured as outlined below.

When registering players/members should be aware that fixtures may be at any venue or timeslot below.

M = Male,  F  = Female.

  • Bendat Basketball Centre
  • Lords Recreation Centre
  • John XXIII College (NBL1 Exclusion Only)

Please note :

  • Court allocations are subject to team nominations, venue availability, and venue exclusion dates.
  • If court space is limited on Friday evenings, the youngest age groups and lowest divisions will move first (e.g., U16M C1 & C2 or U16F B).
  • PLHBA will make every effort to schedule U12F and U14F divisions in the later Saturday timeslots to minimise conflicts with other popular sports.

Due to limited court and venue space, court allocations and timeslots cannot be changed. Common reasons that members believe their season fixtures should be changed are below.

  • Parents having multiple children playing.
  • Coaching multiple teams.
  • Personal circumstances.
  • Other sporting commitments.
  • Only being able to play a certain venue or timeslot.
