Junior Domestic Competition

Perry Lakes Hawks Junior Domestic competition is run with 6 clubs they are – Subiaco Basketball, City Beach Basketball, Claremont/Cottesloe, Raiders, Scarborough Sharks, Woodland Warriors.

• To play the junior Domestic competition ONLY register with ONE of the above clubs.
• A player can only register for ONE team within a club.
• A player can only play Junior Domestic Competition OR Development League Competition
• The playing season runs from March to September.
• No games are scheduled during school holidays.
• Game and training session on Tuesdays at Bendat for U8 boys and girls.
• Games are played on Friday night for U10MB girls, U10 girls, U14 girls, U16 girls, U18 girls at the Bendat Basketball Centre in Floreat and Lords Recreation Centre in Subiaco.
• Games are played on Saturday’s (7.30am thru to late evening) for U10MB boys, U10 boys, U12 boys, U14 boys, U16 boys, U18 boys and U12 girls at the Bendat Basketball Centre in Floreat and Lords Recreation Centre in Subiaco.
• Game timings will change from week to week please check fixtures.
• Fixtures are on Play HQ website or ‘My Hoops’ APP.
• Game timings can’t be changed to suit your convenience/calendar.
• Team Training sessions are once week, during the week:-
  • our training court venues are Bendat, Lords, JTC and HBF (these are subject to change)
  • training sessions can be 45mins or 1 hour
  • a team is allocated half a court for training
  • we offer courts from 3.30pm onwards and some 7am
  • bookings are done on our website its only open for 24 hours
  • booking date and time will be communicated to team managers
• We require every team to have a minimum of 8 players.
• If a player has played WABL in 2024, please ensure you inform our registrar and your team manager.
• If your preferred team does not proceed with registration and you do not wish to be placed in another team, do not proceed with registration.
• Under 8 competition information
• Age groups (generally):-
  • U8 (Tuesday session, mixed gender, hoop height 8-foot, School Year 2)
  • U10 mini ball (Friday/Saturday game, hoop height 8-foot, School Year 3)
  • U10 (Friday/Saturday game, hoop height 10-foot, School Year 4)
  • U12 (Friday/Saturday game, hoop height 10-foot, School Year 5) & so on.
• A player must meet Age group cut off requirements (see ‘Registration of Interest’ webpage for details).
• Sorry we are unable to provide coaches.
• Due to very limited storage, we are unable to provide teams with a basketball.
• Player shorts can be purchased upon Play HQ registration or on our website for $35. Player jersey’s will be provided by our club but they need to be returned to us at the end of the season in good condition.
• If shorts are ordered prior to team bag collection, then the shorts will be placed in the team bag for team manager to distribute to players.
• Loss of a jersey will incur a $55 fee to replace the jersey.
• If collecting uniforms, we require details of the purchase and proof of payment.
• Team managers and coaches must register for their respective team on Play HQ to receive our communications.
• Coaches – if you are over 18 and do NOT have a child in the team then you are required to provide us with a Working with Children card.
• Subiaco Basketball Club is managed by volunteers your patience, understanding and kindness is much appreciated.
