Subiaco Basketball Club is an
affiliated basketball club with the
Perry Lakes Hawks Association.

Team Selection

The club’s overall policy is that players join to play with friends and peers, where possible the club will accomdate friendship groups for all grades, however this is not guaranteed. Some natural selection with occur at a team level in relation to grading.

Initial grading of teams within the competition is currently based on feedback from coaches from the previous season and player involvement in other competitions such as the West Australian Baskeball League (WABL).

The teams for Under 12 and younger, teams are generally constructed to support friendship groups while keeping in mind the need to address the varying skill levels of the individual players.

For the older age groups, while cognisant of friendship groups, we do make efforts to construct the teams based on skill levels this enables the teams to be competitive within the competition and gives each player the opportunity to succeed within their team.
